Turn-key The combination of engineering and fabrication enables Huisman-Itrec to design and manufacture complete systems according to the specific client requirements on a turn-key basis. All Pipelay systems are designed, manufactured, installed and tested on board of the vessel and integrated into the vessels structure as far as possible.
Modular system approach Huisman-Itrec has designed modular pipelay systems. Individual components, such as tensioners, A&R winches and reeldrive systems can either be used as part of a complete system or as stand alone units, depending on the type of operations to be carried out.
The systems are installed in one single lift and can be moved from one pipelay vessel to another with relative ease, thus reducing the installation time. For example, the Flexlay tower for Halliburton Subsea has been installed and worked on p.l.v. Adams Challenger, p.l.v. Maxita and on the p.l.v. Toisa Perseus. Complete system responsibility Huisman-Itrec also provides the integration of the system into the vessel. This may include the structural integration, the overall pipelay control system and/or the synchronisation of multiple line systems (bundle layers).
