The containers are small, self-contained setback units (see picture) that are placed horizontally in stacks on the deck of the vessel when not in use. |
On board the supply boat and the drilling rig, handling of the containers is done completely hands-free. This leads to a greatly reduced number of incidents and downtime. When its in use for storing, tubular containers can be used to transport other cargo. |

The existing riser handling gantry crane is used for handling the containers on the drilling vessel. The containers are transferred from the horizontal deck position to a vertical position after which the tubulars can be picked up by the pipe racking cranes. |
A number of containers can be placed next to each other, forming a modular setback facility for the Multy Purpose Tower. On the drillfloor the tubulars are handled by a normal pipe racking crane similar to the crane used with the setback drum arrangement. |
